Objectives of the project:

To improve the household food security of 7200 poor and & vulnerable rural people through homestead gardening.

Activities of the project:

• Local entrepreneur development,
• Technology transfer,
• Linkage development with different Service providers,
• Vaccinator development,
• Produce organic manure through organic farming,
• House Hold Space Planting (HSP) establishment,
• Different day observation,
• Farmers training
• Nursery man development
• Homestead garden development
• Learning Plot development
• Leadership development training to the Local Entrepreneur (LE)
• Awareness buildup on different social issues- Sanitation, Early Marriage, Birth registration and Violence against women etc.

Project Locations: 07 Union of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila of Thakurgaon District..

No. of Project Participants: 7200  poor households.

Project duration: October 2000 to March 2005.
