Disaster Risk Reduction and Relief Work (DRR & RW)
SKS conducts its DRR and RW program in its  working areas with twin objectives: 1. Building community capabilities to encounter and mitigate the negative impacts of climate change and natural disaster through enhancing community resilience and 2. Making urgent response to the disaster victims in the form of extending   emergency relief for their immediate survival, and later on implementing rehabilitation activities to recover from the loss caused by a natural disaster.

03 types of natural disaster emphasis by SKS are as follows-

1.Earthquake awareness:

– Discussions on what to do during an earthquake

– Preparation and distribution of earthquake leaflets

2.Flood Awareness:

– What to do before and after the flood

– Provide relief to the victims

– Preparation and distribution of leaflets

3. Lightning Awareness:

– Raise awareness about planting palm trees to prevent lightning

– Things to say during lightning

– Preparation and distribution of lightning leaflets

Relief Work

05 Types of relief work is done by SKS in every year. That are-

  1. Distributed 500 of winter clothes among the poor peoples in the working communities every year.
  2. Distributed 1000 nos. of fruit and wooden saplings among all types of beneficiaries in the working communities every year.
  3. Distributed 3000 nos. of masks and hand sanitizers during coronal period
  4. Distributed 500 nos. of umbrellas/ school bags / tiffin boxes among poor students every year.
  5. Distributed 50 nos. of goats among poor women in the working communities every year.
