Child and Woman Rights Advocacy Program (CWRA)

Objectives of the project: To eliminate all forms of abuse, exploitation and discrimination those affecting children’s and women’s life from the society they are living.

The main activities of the programs are-

  1. To ensure community support for the children and women to develop network with other institutions and build capacity of children and woman in order to ensure their effective participation in Child and Woman Advocacy Forum at local and national level.
  2. Raise awareness regarding the CRC & WRC issues among employers, parents, and community leaders, local government representatives, UP members, and children and woman at the local level.
  3. Establish a NGO networking and advocacy forum to protect children and woman from all sorts of discrimination and abuse.
  4. Establish a link between community, policy makers such as local Members of Parliament, parents to support NGOs /advocacy body working for realizing the rights of the children and women especially in the urban, sub-urban and rural children and woman area.
  5. Establish a link among local advocacy forum, community based organization, national advocacy forum, and international NGOs dealing with the child and woman rights issues.

Project location:  Birgong Powrashova, Birgong, Dinajpur.

No. of Project Participants: 600 women and 600 Children.

Project duration: From July, 2012 to December,2013.

Project Budget: 28,00,000/-
